Urban Music Project

The Urban musical was a project that gave young people a chance to learn how to write songs to scenes which take place in a play called Silly Games changing it into a musical. The young people wrote songs from a range of genres, as reggae,  lovers rock, love ballads, pop, and rock. We unfortunately had to change how we wanted to deliver the project due to the covid19 pandemic coming into and disrupting our lives for nearly 2 years. in spite of this we pushed on through continuing to do what we love and that was to to create music from the heart.  The funding to deliver this brilliant idea came from  Youth Music who were great with us allowing us to change the project to allow the young people to continue being creative especially at a scary time i.e, the Covid19 pandemic. To showcase some of the songs created we were asked to perform at the Queen's Jubilee, where the young people were brilliant and as usual made us proud.
